It’s that time, Ladies and Germs, don’t miss out. The One Night Only Magazine is gearing up for Issue 2: Science. To help with the cost of publication, and because we release more serotonin when we do it this way, we’re holding several basement shows.

Hey all you lovely people. I just wanted to thank everyone who came out to the release party Saturday. I had fun, you had fun, I’m pretty sure we all had fun. So thanks again, to Reversible Eye, Ragged Claws, Glittermouse, and all you brave magazine loving people.
Big Big things are happening right now, and pretty soon I am going to write about them right here in this news box. Yep. Right here. So keep your eyes glued to this space (the space you are reading right now. This very second,) and get excited.

The staff of The One Night Only Magazine is happy to inform you that we’re releasing our first issue with the help of our friends at Reversible Eye Gallery!
With 10 dollars at the door you will get a copy of the magazine, free drinks, and performances by our contributors in between the best bands in Chicago, such as Glittermouse, Ragged Claws, and Jordan E. Ramsier. This will be Glittermouse’s last show of the year and Jordan’s first show in Chicago, so be sure not to miss it!

Anyone who is friends with us on Facebook knows that Pre-orders are Available as of November 18, 2009.
The first issue is an Audio CD of work by Thax Douglas Chicago’s Rock Poet, Mikey’s Imaginary Friends, Scott Blackwood, and many others.
It is available at Our Online Store for $7.50 per copy. You can pick it up at our Release Party on Dec. 12 at the Reversible Eye Studio, or we can ship it to you.
There is only One Week left to Submit your work for this issue, or you can hold off for just a bit and await the announcement of our next issue’s theme.

We Live…
Hello loves,
We haven’t updated in some time, but I assure you that we’re alive. We are just extremely busy little boys and girls with the first issue set to release on December 12th. Since we’re on that topic there are some updates you all should be filled in on.
Firstly, we moved the due date for submissions until Thanksgiving (November 26th), and yes we are still looking for submissions! So please, get on that people!
Secondly, we are beginning production on the submissions we have already accepted. If you are interested in doing voice work you should contact one of us via our contacts on this here website.
Most importantly, we’re having a release party for the First Issue at Reversible Eye Gallery on December 11th. We want to put the old cliche to death that magazine release parties are boring. We’re show offs, and we don’t like boring, so forget that! At our release party there will be performances by contributors and bands alike. Plus, free drinks. That’s more for our sanity than yours, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some too! For more specifics head to the events page.

Thax Douglas at the Hollywood Grill
Hello all you fine folks,
We have some news for you! Last week we interviewed and recorded Chicago’s infamous rock poet, Thax Douglas. We ate breakfast. We talked about Chicago vs. New York, what he intends to do with his body after he dies, how he feels about porn in the public library, and of course, music. Also, in case you weren’t aware, Thax is able to summon the Elder Gods with his poetry.
